Hebei Hongxiang Construction Engineering Materials Co., Ltd., established in 2014, covers an area of over 30 acres and produces 100,000 tons of formwork and scaffolding pipes annually. Strictly adhering to the JGJ166-2016 safety standard for cuplock scaffolding, the company independently standardizes and mass-produces a complete set of Cuplock Scaffold Vertical Standard pipes. As the sole vertical main load-bearing member of the entire support system, these pipes bear all the vertical loads of cast-in-place floor slabs and box beams. Combined with cuplock self-locking nodes, they form a rigid grid load-bearing unit. The entire process, from the pipe base material, the cast steel cuplock nodes, the bottom connecting sleeve, to the full-area hot-dip galvanizing, achieves closed-loop quality inspection, completely solving common safety problems in high-risk projects such as shrinkage of pipe walls, cuplock weld failure, pipe corrosion and thinning, modular misalignment, and bending/eccentricity of uprights.
Cuplock Scaffold Vertical Standard Product Structure: Main bearing steel pipe base structure; All cuplock uprights uniformly adopt φ48.3×2.75mm national standard. Q235 low-carbon alloy hot-rolled steel pipes are made entirely from original steel strips from the steel mill. Each batch undergoes tensile, compressive, bending, and non-destructive testing upon arrival at the factory to remove infill, scale, and residual material with negative wall thickness tolerances, eliminating potential inherent strength deficiencies. CNC-controlled straightening and cutting ensures the straightness of the members is strictly controlled within L/1000, with no localized dents or bending deformation, guaranteeing axial load distribution throughout the upright and preventing lateral eccentric loads. Lengths strictly adhere to the 0.6m standard module, covering common specifications of 1.2m, 1.8m, 2.4m, and 3.0m, perfectly matching the 0.6m welding spacing of the cup-lock joints. No on-site cutting or modification is required, and the sweeping bars and step bars can precisely meet the specifications for installation.

The structure features a self-locking joint with upper and lower bowl buckles. The uprights are welded with lower bowl buckles and limiting pins at fixed intervals of 0.6m, and are matched with sliding upper bowl buckles. The lower bowl is made of one-piece cast steel, free of sand holes, cracks, and shrinkage cavities. It is fully welded automatically to the steel pipe circumferential seam, with a full weld bead free of slag inclusions and porosity. The limiting pin is stamped and formed in one piece, ensuring a firm weld that will not fall off. The upper bowl can slide freely down along the upright. Relying on the inclined wedge self-locking principle, a rigid joint is formed by hammering the upper bowl after the crossbar joint is inserted. A single joint can simultaneously connect four crossbars, eliminating the need for easily lost parts such as bolts and fasteners. The entire joint system has undergone shear resistance testing, and the single-joint load-bearing capacity far exceeds the JGJ166 standard. It has undergone 500 repeated disassembly and assembly cycles without permanent deformation.
Bottom-connecting sleeve socket structure: A thickened outer sleeve is integrally welded to the bottom of the upright. The sleeve wall thickness is ≥3.5mm, and the length is not less than 160mm. When the upper and lower uprights are connected, the inner pole is fully inserted into the sleeve, and the overlap length meets the specifications. Load is vertically transmitted without slippage or misalignment risk, eliminating local instability at the upright connection point. Suitable for multi-layer high-support formwork with extended splicing.
Fully integrated hot-dip galvanized anti-corrosion structure: The entire upright, including the inner wall of the steel pipe, the cup-lock seam, and the dead corners of the sleeve welding, is hot-dip galvanized internally and externally with a thickness of 70μm. The entire process includes degreasing, high-temperature deep pickling, flux activation, immersion in 450℃ molten zinc, and passivation cooling. The zinc layer forms a metallurgical zinc-iron alloy layer with the steel, with adhesion far exceeding that of cold spraying and thin cold galvanizing coatings. Even scratches caused by handling and erection friction can be continuously protected by the sacrificial anode. The uniform silver-gray appearance is suitable for civilized construction sites and green building material reviews.
Cuplock Scaffold Vertical Standard Product Features:
Rigid Self-Locking Joints with No Loosening: Eliminating the traditional bolt fastening method, it relies on cast steel cup-lock wedge-shaped self-locking joints. This eliminates issues such as insufficient torque from manual tightening and bolt corrosion/stripping. The overall lateral stiffness of the joints is nearly 50% higher than that of coupler-based scaffolds. Under conditions of strong winds and pouring vibrations, the scaffold structure will not experience joint slippage. There is no risk of structural rejection by supervisors or high-formwork experts.
Universal 0.6 Module: Standardized spacing for all types of upright cup-lock joints. All horizontal bars, diagonal bars, and bases are fully interchangeable. Uprights returned from different projects do not require sorting and can be directly transferred across construction sites. There is no idle stockpiling of non-standard components, significantly simplifying on-site layout and inventory management.
Standardized 0.6 Module with Universal Application: All types of uprights have standardized cup-lock joint spacing. All horizontal bars, diagonal bars, and bases are fully interchangeable. Uprights returned from different projects do not require sorting and can be directly transferred across construction sites. This eliminates the need for idle non-standard components, greatly simplifying on-site layout and inventory management. Long-lasting corrosion resistance with no blind spots: Zinc is simultaneously applied to the inside of the steel pipes and the gaps between the couplings. After more than ten years of continuous use in underground tunnels, coastal salt fields, and open-air environments during the southern rainy season, the pipe walls and welds have not rusted or thinned. The supporting system has been rated as a green product in the formwork and scaffolding industry. Even after long-term use in sealed, high-humidity underground water treatment plants, it maintains its structural strength.
Automated and unified quality control: Straightening, pipe cutting, coupling welding, and galvanizing are all carried out using dedicated production lines and specialized machines. The wall thickness of the uprights, the welding strength of the couplings, and the coating thickness are highly uniform within the same batch. Each batch comes with third-party compressive and shear strength test reports, and the site supervisor conducts a one-time re-inspection and it passes, eliminating the need for rework and re-materials.
